First Aid Course For Martial Artists
This is an essential course for all Martial Arts Instructors and mighty
useful for practitioners as well.
The course will cover the vital principles and practices contained in
general First Aid Courses but will focus on the kind of injuries that we
have to deal with as Instructors: cuts, sprains, strains, dislocations,
concussions, cracked ribs etc. Also included in the course will be CPR and
the recovery position.
Importantly, the course will help you know the limits of your first aid,
i.e. when you need to get an ambulance/take the injured party to hospital,
and how to avoid the spread of serious infection.
The course will be given by:
Bob Masterson who was initially trained by St John and then Surrey
Ambulance Service and has been delivering first aid since about 1995. Bob is
also able to deliver Oxygen and defibrillator training which form part of this three-day course
The course will be H&S authorised and successful students will acquire
recognised certification.
This course will be held over
7,8.9 October
at:
Urban Kings Gym, Kings Cross, Central London
10-5 am each day with an hour for lunch
